2026 Independence Day Parade

Registration for the 2026 Crystal Lake Independence Day Parade is now open!
Registration will close on June 12th- NO EXCEPTIONS!

Registrations will not be complete without certificate of insurance and signed hold harmless.

Presented by the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce and brought to you by the City of Crystal Lake, and the Crystal Lake Lions Club we are inviting the community to the Annual Independence Day Parade on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at 1:00PM!

Please review the parade layout when choosing your preferred position in the parade lineup. 

Tier 1 is in the front of the parade, Tier 2 in the middle, and Tier 3 is at the back of the parade lineup. 


In order to participate in the Crystal Lake Independence Day Parade on Sunday, July 5, 2026, the Chamber will need the following from you:

1) Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI): A Certificate of Insurance (COI), is a simple form issued by your insurance company. It includes the types of coverage, the issuing insurance company, your policy number, the named insured, the policy’s effective dates, and the types and dollar amount of limits and deductibles. 

  • The COI must specify in Description Section: "Participation in the Crystal Lake Independence Day Parade on July 5, 2026"
  • Certificate Holder: Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce, 427 W. Virginia St., Crystal Lake, IL 60014

2) Hold Harmless Agreement: A hold harmless agreement is used as a release of liability in a contract that protects one party from injury or property damage caused by another party.

3) Proof of Vehicle Insurance (if applicable)

Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded, as follows:
Showstopper Float: $500
1st Place Float: $400
2nd Place Float: $300
3rd Place Float: $200
Outstanding Band: $200

In the event of cancellation of the Parade, the Chamber will issue the participants a full refund.
